Skateboard
Flat ground and rails or ledges, from Ollie to Gazelle Flip.
- Flat Ground
- Rails / Ledges
- Spell SKATE
A game of SKATE, called by Squatch. An iPhone app for skaters and snowboarders. Squatch calls the trick, your crew lands it or takes a letter, and whoever spells SQUATCH is out.
How a session goes
Pick who's riding and the order they go. Riding alone? A solo session counts how many tricks you land before you spell it.
Choose the terrain and how hard it gets: Easy, Medium, Hard or Loco. Squatch picks a random trick from the pool. Reroll it, or call your own.
Tap Landed or Missed for each rider. The buttons are big enough to hit with gloves on.
SQUATCHSpell SQUATCH and you're out. The last rider in takes the session, and the results card is ready to share.

In the app
Every tap saves. Close the app mid-game and pick it up later, undo any call, and look back at who landed what.

House rules
Everyone tries every call. Miss it, take a letter.
The setter tries Squatch's call first. Land it and everyone has to match. Miss it and the next rider sets.
Two tries when you're on your final letter.
If the whole crew misses, nobody takes a letter.
Starts at your easiest tier and climbs every three tricks.
Sometimes Squatch calls it switch, fakie or nollie, and bumps the difficulty up a tier.
Short on time? Spell SKATE or SNOW instead of SQUATCH.
Add your own tricks and Squatch will call them in your games.
Skate or snow
Pick what you ride once, and the whole app follows: terrain, tricks and the short-game word.
